4Excellent purchase  Sep 12, 2009 By Kevin Hoyt
We purchased 2 of these for a visit to the ocean. They worked out very well. The ocean was around 55. The only problem we had was a lack the insolating boots. I would definately suggest these suits. They are warm and comfortable.

2Has one *major* flaw  Jan 02, 2011 By Dan Seawolf
This could have been a nice wetsuit:
- the material is decent, not too stiff and not too "sticky".
- it is relatively light and flexible
- I like the white stitching - looks "different"

It has one fatal flaw - first, the upper portion around shoulders is relatively small (I usually am OK with L, but tried both L and XL and they were kinda tight up above, and I am not all that wide in the shoulders).

Worse yet, and that's a complete deal breaker - the neck opening is *tiny*. It is literally sized for a 6 y/o child (I checked). Unless you are a true "pencilneck" there is absolutely no way you'll be able to zip it up and wear it without choking.

Too bad.

5Great product  Dec 01, 2009 By My wife won't let me pick a name.
Like all wetsuits, this one is a little bit hard to get into. However, for the price, I find it to be very effective. I was swimming for hours after everyone else got too cold and had to leave the water. This suit is by far most effective with a pair of divers gloves and divers shoes.

5Good but small  Aug 11, 2011 By Strange Productions LLC
After looking at the chart and reading one review I decided to order X-Large instead of a Large. I tried it on and it barely went up over my shoulders and then when I zipped it up it choked me. The price went up 24.00 since I ordered it a couple of days ago. Amazon took care of that and the expedited shipping on the XX-Large since I need it in 2 days.

6'1

199-209lbs depending on the day but I look about 180

36" waist

44" chest when measured for my sports jacket at MW.

16.5" neck

Almost ordered the XX-Large from the start because of my height and chest but the waist size scared me away. After wearing this I can safely say this X-Large was VERY snug all over so when picking your size keep that in mind. I have no doubts that the XX-Large will be a perfect fit and not bunch up.

4fine suit, fine price  Jul 30, 2008 By J. Pohl "musical engineer"
This is a fine suit. by comparison, I also have a Body Glove full, a Body Glove shorty, and a Brave (a local NJ house brand) shirt. The Mercury is just as good as any of those.
Last autumn, while trying to surf a tropical storm with a long board, I finned myself quite well, slicing a big chunk off the back of my Mercury wet suit and getting blood stains all over a *brand new* white rash guard I wore underneath. I like the Mercury so much that I went out & bought another one.
